About us

Canapa e basta is a small family business that commercializes hemp textiles. In 2014, after exploring Europe in search of producers of hemp textiles, we created our first Canapa e basta catalogue, mainly comprised of our artigianal products made with hemp string, rope and fabric create con fili, from European eco-frienly cultivation. At first, we operated mainly in street markest all over Italy, alway making a strong effort to promote hemp textiles. After some time, we developed tight collaborazions with many companies in the field, obtaining great results in the creation of hemp textiles that are capabile of competing with other fine textiles already in the market (linen). Our search continues in also Italy now that hemp cultivation has regained importance, constantly giving us new products. In 2015, the site was born with our new catalogue of fine textiles, yarns, rope and much more. In these years, we've seen a slow but constant growth following the rebirth of this wonderful plant, and thanks to our faithful customers and to our evergreen effort towards the promotion of hemp, we are living a blooming season full of new ideas and constant evoluzion.

Mission: After a century of denegartoy hemp proibitioniom and of industrial abuse and environmental disasters caused by the the interstes of the few, we felt the need to shout: Hemp, period!
